Legionary Orderstate Lore Background
The Octavian Collapse Leading To The Orderstate
Revenge Of Leutgard
On June 26th, 1954 (2025), newspaper-hitpieces would come out on Aleczaender
accusing him of running a brutal dictatorship with a dangerous cult of personality. The hitpiece
did damage to tourism and the great reputation of Aleczaender, who at this point in time,
successfully recovered his reputation as a force of good against Leutgard. While this had little
effect on the masses in Octavium, this resulted in allies turning against Octavium, and allowed
for Leutgard to use this against Aleczaender. Leutgard would call for an international court in the
League of Nations hosted by Teutonnia, and prosecuted by the original whiteblowers who made
the hitpiece - Mike & Aethel Invicta. This trial would be hosted on July 6th, 1954. Aleczaender
fought hard in his defense, but the trial’s tribunal was rigged with former Octavian loyalists who
resided in Teutonnia, all of whom were offered positions to lead a new puppeted Octavium under
Operation Realmscommissariat Southland. As a consequence, Aleczaender was found guilty and
escorted by the Civil Police. Aleczaender was escorted to Madrid and was to be exiled off to the
Carribean on a remote island. Aleczaender was informed he’d be allowed an inner circle of 10 or
so people, no more, but Aleczaender refused to relinquish Octavium, and so immediately that
day, Aleczaender told the Civil Police that he would not be relinquishing power despite the
international community’s sentence in the court. Madrid was full of riots in the streets in support
of Aleczaender, with multiple divisions and paramilitaries proclaiming that the trial was rigged
and that their loyalty would forever be to Aleczaender. Immediately, ‘Zaenderist Redoubt’
groups would form in pockets of Octavium, forming sanctuary communities in any event of an
Octavian collapse. Teutonnian Rulersguard would be ordered to occupy Octavium, and in the
process, collapse ensued in the government as all out chaos broke out.
Immediately, former Octavians found guilty of treason among other foreigners would be
placed in-charge of the new Octavian government, running Octavium from the territories
occupied by Rulersguard, whilst Octavian forces loyal to Aleczaender battled it in the streets.
The overwhelming force of Teutonnians would push the fighting all the way back to Madrid,
forcing Aleczaender days later to relocate to the Caribbean at his ‘La Hacienda’. All political
parties and paramilitaries would temporarily unify into a single ‘Zaenderist Movement’ to
uphold Aleczaender and his views, written in ‘The Zaenderist Concept’. This solidified
Aleczaender’s authority, and allowed for a more coordinated effort against Teutonnian influence
in Octavium. For months, Teutonnia had been building up a coup against Aleczaender prepared
to seize Octavium from Aleczaender, and subsequently, this made nobody in Octavium
trustworthy. Due to this, multiple ‘Zaenderist Redoubt’ communities in Octavium collapsed from
the inside as disloyalists infiltrated their way in. The Zaenderist Redoubt in the Caribbean
however held firm under the leadership of Aleczaender, who personally oversaw his staff and
ensured everyone was loyal. While Aleczaender and his close confidants enjoyed the warm
summer sun, Legate EnzaerYSmith would form the Legionary Orderstate of Octavium with
those loyal to Aleczaender in both the Army and Legion. With new uniforms to identify the
Zaenderists from the disloyalists, they were able to effectively rally supporters in Octavium
against Leutgard.
Second Octavian Civil War

The streets of Madrid, much like the streets of Paris during the First Octavian Civil War,
fell to complete anarchy. In the initial weeks, Leutgardists tore down statues of Aleczaender and
other monuments, followed by gunshots by Zaenderists infuriated with the behavior of
disloyalists. As days went by, the streets grew quiet in a great calm before the big storm,
becoming abandoned as anarchy increased. Rebel Zaenderist groups such as the Zaenderist
Vanguard and the Reformed Armored would launch attacks alongside other loyalist groups, as
many as hundreds of veterans of Octavium would fight to the death, liberating Madrid from
disloyalist oppression. By the beginning of August, the Legionary Orderstate would arrive in
Madrid after weeks of fighting from paramilitary forces in Madrid, officially liberating Madrid
from Leutgard. Octavium by then would have stabilized into a functioning opposition state
against Aleczaender, after going through multiple Emperors and Premiers, Kalevos Rising would
take power as Caudillo, rejecting the title of Emperor as he was an illegitimate leader of
Octavium. Upholding himself in private as someone who was ‘a more neutral anti-zaenderist
anti-leutgardist’, Kalevos would formally ban Zaenderism and all support of Aleczaender in
Octavium, forcing even more people to defect to both the Orderstate and to Zaenderism. Despite
small efforts by Kalevos to retake Madrid politically, Kalevos would fail, and because of the
Orderstate’s overwhelming military support, Kalevos’s Octavium would lose control of Madrid,
forcing them to hold out in Navata. With Occitania once again under Teutonnian control,
Teutonnia would revive the French State. Contrary to Leutgard’s plans however, Kalevos and the
French State would revolt against the Realmspact, opposing not only Aleczaender, but also
Leutgard. A double-edged blade.
On August 9th, the Orderstate would officially reclaim full control of Madrid and its
surrounding areas, eliminating all organized opposition from inside the city. On August 15th,
Madrid would face it’s last offensive from the joint Anti-Zaenderist forces of France, Kalevos’s
Octavium, and Teutonnia, eliminating them and securing the slums of Madrid. This allowed for
businesses and the streets of Madrid to officially open up to the public, restoring prosperity and
glory to Madrid. Despite Madrid’s restoration, there was still a long road of recovery. Tables
were flipped over for defenses, statues and great monuments were greatly damaged, Madrid had
effectively become a Battleground as opposed to the bustling city it once was. For the first time
since the trial, Aleczaender would visit the city of Madrid, but not to return as the great leader
that he was before his leave. Aleczaender would formally declare the Legionary Orderstate of
Octavium as an official nation, giving his endorsement, and appointing Raynard Smith as Graend
Legate with Fredreck Richterian as his Deputy Legate. Aleczaender would oversee the
Orderstate as the Eternal Founder of Zaenderism, but would not actively run it, instead assigning
the responsibility to Raynard. Raynard’s task was to reclaim Octavium under the Orderstate, and
would be given full permission to declare martial law, conscripting all loyalists into fully-fledged
forces, preparing them for total war against Anti-Zaenderism. Raynard was successful in this,
organizing a police, loyalty-order, and elite guard of troops to uphold Zaenderism to the fullest
extent of their power.
We Tried

In Teutonnia, Leutgard would be furious. Although Leutgard at this point in time was
retired with Teutonnia being led by Realmspresident Spiess, Leutgard would rally his
Rulersguard, declaring ‘Total War’ on Zaenderism, demanding they involve themselves in efforts
of espionage, sabotage, and even terrorism in order to bring complete death to Zaenderism.
Leutgard would make many efforts to buy the loyalty of Aleczaender’s men by attempting to
bribe them to leave, but failing. Leutgard would also attempt to get Architects to betray
Aleczaender, so that they’d be unable to develop the Caribbean islands or Madrid, but this also
failed. Leutgard would hire more hitpieces, but people grew bored of the constant recycling of
propaganda against Aleczaender. Even Leutgard’s own loyalists grew weary of the war.
Meanwhile, Aleczaender made exposes of his own on Leutgard, and gave broadcasts talking
about the predetermined illegal efforts by Leutgard which violated international law against
Aleczaender. These hitpieces drew attention to Leutgard, and exposed hypocrisy, but did not do
enough damage to bring any real impact to Teutonnia. Nevertheless, Leutgard would send
assassins after Aleczaender to silence him, but these efforts would fail as Aleczaender’s
Zaenderist forces limited who could come on the island and who couldn’t. Madrid would also
employ lockdowns after frequent terrorist attacks sponsored by Teutonnia, allowing only loyal
citizens of the Orderstate to enter. These strict policies, although temporary, would save hundreds
of lives from Teutonnian terrorist attacks, in their crimes against the Zaenderist people.
The world is now rapidly changing. What was once planned to be a world without
Aleczaender, has instead emerged into a continuation of the original Cold War between
Octavium and Teutonnia, except the war has become more brutal and violent than ever planned
before, becoming a war of guerrilla warfare and terrorism on both sides. With the French State
rallying with Kalevos’s Octavium against Leutgardism, the Legionary Orderstate building up its
forces for war, and with Zaenderism on the rise, recovering from the slander campaigns, the
world is transforming into something different. What was originally done out of evil against
Aleczaender, has the potential for something good to come out of the fray and chaos. Will
Aleczaender recover from the chaos and emerge once again as the great leader he was destined to
be? Will the Legionary Orderstate rebuild it’s forces to launch an offensive against Kalevos and
Leutgard? Or, will evil finally triumph against good, with the last blows against Zaenderism, to
finally put an end to Aleczaender for once and for all.
