History
The Marines are one of the two divisions raised new in the Imperial Restoration, alongside the Regulars. The restoration took effect on 4 June 2026. The Discord server was created that evening, and the Roblox group followed on 6 June, announced the same day by Evil Angelo.
The name had been used in Octavia before. The Eternal Octavian Imperium fielded the Galactic Marines under General AugustusRichterian, a rapid response force built around air superiority and mechanised warfare, intended to be turned into a naval unit for amphibious invasions before it was decommissioned when Octavia returned to the Second World War setting. No document ties the present division to that formation, and the record shows no continuous line between them.
At its founding the division was organised into three centuries. The Armada Century took coastal seizure and amphibious operations, the Air Force Century took air superiority, and the Commandos were the elite ground unit, entered only by evaluation. The first recruitment notice went out on 7 June 2026 with Evil Angelo as Commanding Officer, ventrionwt as Executive Officer, and the centuries under k, Skullster and EfrensHere. Evil Angelo led as Admiralissimo, and the division carried naval titles no other Octavian division used: Admiralissimo, Vice Admiralissimo, Admiral, Vice Admiral and Rear Admiral. A recruitment drive opened on 17 June that paid Robux for every recruit who stayed long enough to attend events.
Evil Angelo resigned on 10 July 2026, calling himself the only Admiralissimo in Octavian history and asking that the Admiralissimo and Vice Admiralissimo titles be retired. In the same message he referred to a precursor to the Marines, which he did not name and which the record does not identify. BeukerRichterian took over three days later, rebuilt the Discord server, converted the centuries into battalions with companies beneath them, and imposed rank caps and a weekly quota. Guarding and logistics detachments opened on 15 July. DanSupreme served as Commanding Officer through this period and resigned on 20 July.
War with the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics was declared on 13 July 2026 and the Marines were mobilised with the rest of the Army. The numbers did not follow. In the week of 25 July the division logged 4 hours 35 minutes, second from last in the Imperium.
The Record
- 2020-09-19: Octavia is founded. It later fields the Galactic Marines under General AugustusRichterian, decommissioned when Octavia returned to the Second World War setting. No line of descent to the present division is recorded.
- 2026-06-04: The Imperial Restoration takes effect. The Marines Division Discord server is created the same evening.
- 2026-06-06: The Marines Division of Octavium Roblox group is created and announced by Evil Angelo.
- 2026-06-07: First recruitment notice, listing the Armada, Air Force and Commando centuries.
- 2026-06-13: First divisional rally, with promotions issued to those who attended.
- 2026-06-17: A recruitment drive opens, paying Robux for each recruit brought in.
- 2026-07-10: Evil Angelo resigns as Admiralissimo, the only holder of the rank.
- 2026-07-13: BeukerRichterian reworks the server and introduces the company system.
- 2026-07-15: Guarding and logistics detachments open.
- 2026-07-20: DanSupreme resigns as Commanding Officer.
