A History Lesson About Octavium’s Past
Pompous Victory
On September 19th, 1943 (2020), Octavia was formed under its official name; “Eternal
Octavian Imperium” at a rallyhall located in the Alps of Eastern France. Octavia would control
the lands of Spain, Portugal, Morocco, and southern France (Occitanie). This was following a
General Staff coup led by the Marshal of the army of the time, Aleczaender Richterian. With
Aleczaender and his adjutant, Oswald Chauvelen, who throughout Octavia, assisted Aleczaender
in the organization of the General Staff and garrison of the army. Under Aleczaender’s
Richterism, Aleczaender secured himself as absolute ruler. However, to secure the rest of the
nation which occupied territories in France, as well as the “home-region” of Octavia in
Occitanie, Aleczaender agreed to a deal with the Chancellor at the time, Alex Parsaville, and
made him Supreme Chancellor. Alex would form the Authority, which despite being underneath
the jurisdiction of Aleczaender’s Joint Marshals who governed Octavia, maintained a position
equal to that of Aleczaender. Alex and Aleczaender were the de facto rulers of Octavia, as
Supreme Marshal and Supreme Chancellor.
As Supreme Marshal, Aleczaender’s first move was to begin the training of his army
under Richterist doctrine. After establishing a base camp near the town of Allemande,
Aleczaender began the invasion for Greater Normandy - a nation that held land in Britain and
northern France. After defending a series of attacks launched by Greater Normandy, as well as
rebels who seeked an independent Spain free of Richterism, under the Grand Marshal Oswald,
Aleczaender prepared for an invasion that would besiege and seize Paris. Using its airforce,
Octavia would paradrop its army as well as its famed Legion to occupy Paris from the Normans.
Following this victory, Greater Normandy would collapse, and Britain would become
independent under “Greater Britannia”, which was led by the same leaders that once led Greater
Normandy. Octavia also launched attacks against the Rhine led by Lavo, and successfully
occupied much of it’s territory without much resistance. For a short while, Aleczaender took a
short rest, and focused on maintaining the chaos at Paris with its many paramilitaries. The
Loyalty Militia, formally known as, The Front For Fanatical Loyalism, was formed to stabilize
chaos in the city. It would later become a combat division of the Authority after the ousting of
Hadrian Kerzeus from its leadership.
Golden Days
Aleczaender would form the LVF (Legion of French Volunteers) under the leadership of
one of his loyalists, Lakeland, to rally the French populace under Octavia. Although Octavia was
a nation whose name was based on the French region of Occitanie, the majority of its active
populace and traditions come from Spain. As a result of this, the LVF was utilized to wrangle
many of the French loyalists who felt neglected and were in Octavia. This was successful, and
the LVF was used to fight off many of the paramilitaries and resistance cells active in Paris,
including the Requestes (Anarchist-Carlists). On top of this, Aleczaender used his connections
with Alex Solum (Inacius) to build a paramilitary force for the Catholic church in Octavia,
regarded as the Reconquista (Inquisition). This force, although not as fiercely loyal as Lakeland’s
LVF, also assisted Aleczaender in ridding troublemakers from Paris. Paris was bustling with
activity as its army patrolled and civilians daily worked in factories producing weapons and
tanks for the Imperium. Oswald would finish the Brits off with an invasion of England,
successfully occupying London as a result. After an incident regarding the burning down of a
synagogue in Paris, members of the Octavian army officer staff were put on trial by the
Authority. Oswald, who disapproved of the Authority meddling in army affairs, drove a T-26
through the courtroom, firing a shell into the judiciary of the Authority. This started a civil-war
that lasted a little over an hour, divisions and paramilitaries of Octavia rushing to a side and
joining the conflict. Although the Oswald loyalists primarily won the battle, he was arrested by
his own Gendarmerie, and forced into negotiations where Oswald refused to submit, leading to
his exile from Octavia.
Following the exile of Oswald, Aleczaender promoted General Vasile of the Gendarmerie
to Grand Marshal, placing him in charge of the war-front. Quickly, Octavia would be forced to
defend its holdings in North Africa by invading Libya, and holding El Alamein. The Russian
expeditionary forces attempted to make a breakthrough assisting the British at El Alamein
alongside Rhinish and American forces, putting Vasile in-charge of the defense. Initially, the
Russians were almost successful, Vasile being too busy to rally the General Staff and make an
effective defense, leading to his resignation. After the return of Oswald as Grand Marshal and the
resignation of Parsifal as Supreme Chancellor, both the Russians and the British were finally
defeated after several counterattacks. The Americans launched some counterattacks to vindicate
the English, but ultimately failed after several raids. Octavia launched it’s next offensive on
Cairo, facing basically no opposition, they succeeded in taking down the Rhine, and took
photographs in-front of Rhinish monuments and structures in Cairo. Britain was virtually
defeated, and the Russians feared starting a war with Octavia due to their success against every
other nation. Aleczaender, in celebration of his many victories, would hold parades and rallies
glorifying the conviction of his success, and showcasing Octavia as the dominant nation over the
community. Tariq Bakyl, who was a good friend of Aleczaender, would become the new
Supreme Chancellor of the Authority days after Parsifal’s resignation. America in it’s loss would
fall apart politically. Paterick J. Smith, who was an American who served in the Octavian army
as a Colonel, would be deployed to America to form the Patriotist Front and take over America
from within.
Destiny Was Providential
By 1944, a new power had risen in Germany dubbed the Greater Alemannic Realm, led
by Leutgard, a former mentor to Aleczaender. Leutgard’s Alemannic Realm went to war with
Octavia shortly after its victories in Europe, its most recent being in Italy against the Zustenian
Realm. The war was also fought in North Africa, usually at El Alamein as the prior was fought,
where the Alemannic Realm launched thousands of its members into the Octavian frontline.
Oswald, who led many of the war campaigns against the enemies of Aleczaender, once again led
this one, fighting some of his most toughest battles against Leutgard. Leutgard conducted several
surprise attacks against Octavia, throwing whatever he had available at Aleczaender. Oswald was
successful in defending Octavia from the Germanic invaders, and the Greater Alemannic Realm
would leave Aleczaender alone after all of their defeats. Oswald was triumphant, and a song was
written by one of his Corporals about fighting under his campaigns in his honor. Aleczaender
allowed Oswald to be seen as the “Zhukov” of Octavia, as Oswald worked just as hard if not
harder then Aleczaender, at building the Octavian General Staff, and building an effective
military. In the meantime, Richard Richterian rose in the background by climbing the ranks of
the Gendarmerie and paramilitary known as the Grand Inspectorate, proving his loyalty to
Aleczaender. Richard would later be granted his own division under the Richterian Dynasty
known as, The Grand Richterian Order, due to his utmost loyalty to Aleczaender, as well as
competence in making Octavia active.
In Occupied London, new paramilitaries formed such as the Anglican Church to replace
the Reconquistas, as well as the Irish Republican Army which replaced the Requestes. The LVF
carried on into London, posing as an “additional occupational force” against resistance. London,
like Paris, bustled with activity as shops, diners, factories, and other businesses opened which
made the city feel alive. Octavian soldiers patrolled the streets, protecting Octavia from any
chaos that could potentially erupt. On top of this, Octavia maintained different satellites across
the world, including Korea, Prussia, Vietnam, China, and Bulgaria. In this particular time,
Prussia was facing threats from the Russians, who seeked to attack Prussia after its recent
takeover by the Richterist, Wilhelm Richterian. Octavia’s liberation of Italy, Austria, and
Czechoslovakia from the Zustens led to the revival of The Richterian Imperium, which was
overseen by Oswald Chauvelen as another military dictatorship. While all of the countries
Octavia oversaw under its pact, The Richterian Commonwealth, were not all
military-dictatorships, they all nonetheless swore loyalty to Aleczaender. Octavia amped up it’s
Richterism indoctrinations and military support in Prussia following threats from Russia. Prussia
was Octavia’s closest ally during this period due to the threat of invasion.
Victory Or Death
Following the invasion of the Caribbean by Octavian forces, putting an end to Octavia’s
old ally Cascadia led by Dr. Luky, as well as Bjancia led by the Combe Dynasty, Octavia began
to research the opportunity of space. Through advanced technology and the first Octavians to
land on the moon, Octavia began researching the opportunity to produce colonies beyond even
earth. This was Aleczaender’s most ambitious goal, however it was stopped short by civil-wars
and internal conflicts across the world. In Octavia, Oswald and Tariq feuded over petty laws
regarding military jurisdiction, leading to yet another long drawn out civil-war, and in Prussia,
royalists challenged Richterists over autonomy. In Greater America, Paterick emerged as the
Grand Chancellor of America, allowing Octavian soldiers to occupy and reshape the country into
an autocracy. Several problems emerged during this period which almost led to the downfall of
Octavia. The Greater Alemannic Realm usurped Korea through a coup d’etat led by the
Rheingold Dynasty, former allies of Aleczaender. After a month-long civil-war, Aleczaender was
able to secure Korea back in Richterist hands, although the infrastructure and stability of the
nation was significantly damaged. In Greater America, Leutgard convinced Paterick to betray
Aleczaender in return for a high position within his Greater Alemannic Realm, and additionally,
for more resources to build up his Greater America. Paterick betrayed Aleczaender, causing
another civil-war around the same time as the Korean one, and forging a civil-war that lasted a
week before the closure of Greater America’s capital city, Chicago. Greater America would be
returned to the hands of Aleczaender weeks after following the conflict. The Richterian
Imperium, led by Oswald, though successful the first few weeks, though it never officially
collapsed, became inactive, and had to be absorbed by Octavia as a result of the incompetence of
the high command.
Octavia was in a terrible situation despite its previous successes, and the Greater
Alemannic Realm emerged as the global power following Octavia’s return from space.
Aleczaaender, to centralize his power, merged the roles of Supreme Chancellor and Supreme
Marshal into Supreme Leader after the departure of Tariq Bakyl. Aleczaender then planned
retirement for July 1945, and planned on making Richard Successor after his undying loyalty and
service to Aleczaender. Oswald Chauvelen, for neglect and disloyalty, would be purged, and
replaced by Richard, as the official Grand Marshal. Aleczaender’s final move was the liberation
of Helleria from the evil psychopath known as Albert Hellerium. In its place, stood The Greater
Confederation of Helleria. Aleczaender then released a memoir of his many years as both a
soldier, officer, general, and leader in his book, The Legends of Aleczaender, also referred to
commonly as, The Legacy. Aleczaender then had a final retirement ceremony where Richard was
crowned Supreme Leader, and Aleczaender bid farewell. Aleczaender would then disappear,
many not knowing his whereabouts, and few assuming he was dead. Weeks later, a tomb
appeared in Paris that was titled “Aleczaender Richterian”. Although no funeral or obituary was
made, many assumed that Aleczaender had died. Within months of Richard coming to power,
various purges were made ousting Richard’s disloyalists, and replacing all of the Inner Circle
with his very own men, dubbed, “Ted Crew”. In the short time that Richard had ranked as
Supreme Leader of Octavia, there were no prominent wars, conquests, or expansions made other
than the continuation of what Aleczaender started.
Octavian Civil War
Richard on August 17th, 1945, would conduct an event known as The Great Destruction.
This event involved the total destruction of all nations, assets, and other creations of Aleczaender
to be totally destroyed by Richard with the help of the Solum Dynasty. This was after Richard
was peer-pressured by close friends of his that instead of retiring, it’d be better to end everything
in a destruction of everything Aleczaender built. In the aftermath of the event, Richard would
betray the Solums, going into exile after a short civil-war was declared and led by Erick
Richterian to restore Richterism. Spartan Richterian would emerge onto the throne, temporarily,
and after deciding he was too young and inactive, Ethan Richterian would stand up to take the
throne as Grand Chairman of the Richterian Dynasty. Not long after this, Arxilium Richterian
would return from retirement, and after becoming the Vice Chairman, would coup Ethan for
leadership, insisting that Ethan’s old age and inactivity would bring no progress to Richterism,
and Arxilium declared himself Emperor of the Richterian Dynasty not long after taking power.
Arxillium’s first move was to rebuild The Greater State of America and restore Paterick to his
position. Arxilium would then assist Erick Richterian on a nation in Germany dubbed, The
Greater Confederation. Arxilium would demand from Erick this empire, insisting that the
President of the Confederation, Valter Manzotti, give Arxilium the title of Emperor. After an
array of arguing and fighting, Arxilium became Archduke, and later usurped the Emperor title
from Erick Richterian, resulting in the continuation of a civil war for successorship. The
Confederation would fall apart, and Arxilium would continue building up “Richteria” under the
Richterian Dynasty, while Erick worked with Ausie Richterian and Julius Richterian to build a
“Greater Richteria” in Germany.
In 1948, Erick was eventually overthrown by Ausie. Not long after Ausie took power,
Julius took power from him. In the background, Paterick betrayed Arxilium to aid Ausie and
then Julius, seeing that Arxilium seeked a plot to replace Aleczaender with a variation of his own
ideals dubbed “Iliumism”. Greater Richteria eventually collapsed, and Germania took it’s place
as a final attempt. After months of progress, Germania eventually collapsed, resulting in Paterick
to return back to continue building Greater America, and for Julius to start a new project dubbed
Kalinia, under his more Socialist leanings. For a short time, Octavia was led by the pretender
Richard Schwaz, who was defeated in a quick war by Paterick’s Greater American Army.
Paterick afterwards would continue his pillage in Europe with an army to takedown Arxilium.
Forming “The Zaenderist Movement”, Paterick would win against Arxilium in a propaganda
war, successfully usurping his followers by convincing them Arxilium was not truly loyal to
Aleczaender. After retaking Richteria, in 1950, a final civil-war erupted between Paterick, Ausie,
Lakeland’s LVF, and the Imperial Prussian Confederacy under Saft Bismarck, where all four
factions battled it out in Paris for total control of Octavia. Whilst Ausie was able to mastermind
negotiations and kill more of Paterick’s men, Paterick maintained the vast majority of manpower
in Paris, rallying hundreds to his cause, and eventually taking Paris for himself. Paterick’s
People’s State would restore Octavia to it’s former glory, and with the help of his American
Patriotist Front, helped to restore true Richterist leadership in Octavia.
It Wasn’t All For Nothing
It turned out after years of all the fighting, that Aleczaender really wasn’t dead, and that
in actuality, he was alive on a remote island in the Atlantic with most of his retired staff. Erick
and Paterick were both aware of this fact, and often relied on Aleczaender’s mentorship to
support them in the righteous effort to restore Richterism despite his absence. Although many
Richterists were not aware of this and saw some as Erick as opposing Arxilium for egotistical
reasons, the reality was Aleczaender was aware of the evil intent of these individuals, and used
his influence to rally new Successors who could muster an army, to prepare for Aleczaender’s
return to save Richterism. Paterick henceforth, following his loyal work to Aleczaender, would
retire to Elba with a private army, allowing for Aleczaender’s staff to continue running Octavia,
renamed to Octavium, officially, Imperium Octavium, in preparation for Aleczaender’s return.
Aleczaender decided, that although he created an ideology that was to exist to stand the test of all
opposition, and carry on despite its absence, it really was all dependent on Aleczaender’s
leadership, and that without him, at least without years of more work from Aleczaender, the
glories that once existed cannot continue to exist without his hand at play. With this realization,
Aleczaender has made the leap forward to continue his cause once again and forevermore, so that
just as his people prospered before, forevermore, can they prosper again, with several more years
of Aleczaender’s rule.
Though Aleczaender had not returned formally yet until 1953, he had said himself that
such is planned, and shall do so unless catastrophe preventing his return occurs. Hundreds of
veterans rallied under the Octavium banner to continue the cause, and hundreds more did so
before the official grand opening of Octavium. Under the magnificent genius of The Big Plan as
well as the incredible planning that has gone into The Great Return, it is expected that Octavium
will succeed with ten fold the manpower, activity, effort, and architecture that it once pioneered
in the past. With unending resilience and total determination, Octavium rallied an army
necessary to once again wipe out all opposition, and put an end to all other empires that stood
within its path. With the leadership of the Supreme Marshal, Supreme Chancellor, and Supreme
Commander Aleczaender, who shall lead with a visionary mind, the Imperial Army, Imperial
Regime, and Imperial Legion progressed infinitely beyond measure to secure an existence for the
continuation of what was once the Richterian people, regarded only as an Octavian people united
in Strength, Brotherhood, and Loyalty. The People had therefore devoted, that with Aleczaender
at the helm, no hesitation to fight, nor slacken to commit total loyalty to Aleczaender, in the
name of restoring prosperous times as they fight, for a bustling empire that is inherently unique
and ideologically superior, in every way, shape, and form to the alternative that currently
dominates Europe. May the Zaenderian Cause still stand, to fight for strong men, and may
Octavium survive in this struggle, for Aleczaender Reigns Supreme, and Octavium Will Prevail.
