Fighting with great fury in heart, the Shock, is the main battle-hardened fighting unit of the Army. This division of diehard soldiers have fought some of the most fiercest battles under Octavium, making them an elite fighting force in battle. Pledged with total loyalty to Aleczaender, these men are ready to lead the charge against the enemy, securing the way for the rest of the Imperium.
History
Aleczaender dates the Shock further back than any other formation in the Army. Releasing its march on 20 March 2026, he wrote that the division's legacy "goes as far back as the tail-end of 2019". No Discord or Roblox record survives from that period, so the claim rests on his word. It is not the only such claim. When Ruv stood down as Divisional General on 23 July 2026 he wrote that the division had been good to him for his past four years in Octavia. The server description still carries the older wording, calling the Shock the main battle-hardened fighting unit of the Legionary Army and a Cohort that had fought under the command of Aleczaender.
The division in its present line begins on 31 October 2025. The Roblox group was created at 06:06 that morning as the Legionary Shock of Octavium, and the Discord server thirteen minutes later. Tryouts opened the next day with one instruction: leave whatever division you are in, then prove you can join the most elite division in Octavium. Through November and December the standing advertisement ran under a single line, "the most skilled combatants of the Orderstate". Its first rally return, on 15 November, credited it with six men. The group held 56 members by 7 December and 64 by 21 December.
Under the Orderstate the Shock was a line division with its own Praefectus seat and its own anti-tank century. It was named in the Military Conduct and Regulations of 30 December 2025 among the combative divisions bound by them. Its march, "Shock Troops Lead The Way!", was written shortly before the siege of Toulouse to steady the Shock troopers fighting beside the Legionary Vanguard, which was taking most of the credit for the breakthroughs. On 26 April 2026 a Legate's Banquet was held to mark the Shock's victory in the Legionary War Games. When the Orderstate split a month later, the Legionary Shock declared for Falangism.
The Army of Octavium was raised as a branch on 4 June 2026 and the Shock was rebuilt into it. The server was rebuilt on the common Army template on 5 June and the Roblox group was renamed the Shock Division of Octavium on 7 June. Ruv took command on 8 June, having served before as Lieutenant Generalissimo and as Chief Praetor of the Orderstate. The first rally under the new structure, on 13 June, drew sixteen men. A divisional training manual and handbook were issued out of Madrid, dated 9 June 1955 in the Octavian calendar and classified by Major General IguroVHorrigan.
The division was mobilised with the rest of the Army on 14 July 2026 for the war with the Soviets. Ruv resigned on 23 July, citing school. SillyRichterian returned the following day and announced a revamp, tearing out the battalion and company system and replacing it with brigades. The Centurioni, Sentinel, Verndari and Anti-Tank Brigades were cut on 25 July, with the 14th Roman Infantry, 1st Hildr Infantry, 2nd Grith Guard and 3rd Mountaineer Anti-Tank Battalions placed beneath them. The division rallied 17 men that weekend and 22 the day after at Mount Invictus.
