A combined force of tanks, infantry, and mechanized armor, the Armored, is designed to obliterate the enemy with overwhelming firepower. This division of soldiers has trained relentlessly for the day that they meet the enemy on the battlefield, upholding their legacy at El Alamein as the finest tankists in the world. A brotherhood of diehards, these men are ready to charge forward guiding the way forward to secure the pathway for the regular infantry of the Imperium.
History
The division's own description claims a legacy at El Alamein, the North African front where Octavian forces held off Russian, Rhinish and British attacks. Nothing in the surviving Discord or Roblox record reaches back that far. What the record does hold is second-hand. Through August and September 2025, recruiting notices for the Phalanx Century of the Legionary Order described that century as loyalists drawn from "the old Octavian 3. Armored 'Oswaldo' division", men who left their posts when heretical ideas spread through the armoured divisions of the day. By 14 October 2025 the same notice called the Phalanx Century the Orderstate's active tank century. A separate loyalist formation, the Reformed Armored, is recorded attacking alongside the Zaenderist Vanguard in the fighting for Madrid during the Second Octavian Civil War.
The division in its present line was raised in the autumn of 2025. On 4 September 2025 Aleczaender told the Imperium that if the next rally broke a hundred men, another division would be released, "probably the Armored division". The Discord server was created on 15 October 2025, the same night as the Inquisition and Teutonnic-Volunteers servers. The Roblox group followed on 17 October under the name Legionary Armored of Octavium, and the Armoured Division role was cut in the main server that day. Its first rally return, on 18 October, credited it with nine men. The first public recruiting notice, on 25 October, called it "the main tank legionary of Orderstate" and offered three centuries: anti-tank, armored and mechanized. Tryouts began on 1 November at the armoured garage on Checkpoint Madrid.
Under the Orderstate the division held a Praefectus seat in the Praefectorum and a monopoly on armour. A directive of 29 December 2025 ruled that armoured vehicles were for the use of the armoured division alone and that no internal faction could have combat vehicles. On 12 January 2026 Aleczaender released its march, "Iron Division Drive On!", written after the battle of Southern France. A week later the Praetor of Defense advertised for a new commander to rebuild the division, the previous one having retired without warning. On 28 March 2026 the Velites beat it in the Legionary War Games, then were disqualified and a rematch was ordered. On 12 April the Armored won the war games. When the Orderstate split into Carlists and Falangists on 28 May, the Legionary Armored declared for Falangism.
The Army of Octavium was raised as a branch on 4 June 2026 and the division was rebuilt into it the following day. The server was wiped and rebuilt on a common Army template, a change members noted at the time with the remark that the chat history was lost to time. The Legionary title was dropped and the Roblox group became the Armored Division of Octavium. The old Tankist, Mechanized and Artillery centuries became the 2nd Tank, 17th Motorized and 6th Artillery Battalions. On 24 June IguroVHorrigan took over as Overseeing General, and on 27 June placed companies under each battalion: the 38th Tanker and the 55th Anti-Tank under the 2nd Tank, the 41st Iron under the 17th Motorized, and the 22nd Phalanx under the 6th Artillery. The 99th Hellhound Company was added on 16 July. The Phalanx name, first carried by the tank century of 2025, is still on the order of battle.
