The intelligence of the state, the Inquisition, is the defense of the nation from all subversive influences. Rooting out traitors and working with enforcement, the Inquisition ensures the internal security of state from treacherous filth. The Inquisition operates to seek out treachery from within, but also abroad from foreign enemies and allies that seek to harm the Imperium.
## History
The Legionary Orderstate had no intelligence division when it launched in July 2025. It got one by a vote. On 21 August 2025 Aleczaender told the Legion that if the bi-weekly rally brought out seventy five men, a new division would be opened, and he named the Inquisition, the Armored and the Vanguard as the options. The rally of 24 August brought out ninety three. The vote opened the same day and the Inquisition won it on 25 August. New Inquisition uniforms were in the game by 28 August, and the Roblox group was created on 29 August 2025.
The name was older than the division. An Imperial Inquisition had served Octavium before the July 6 removal of Aleczaender, with an internal department of its own, and men who had worked in it came across into the Legionary Inquisition once it opened. The Orderstate had also been running background approval forms on everyone joining a division since 24 August 2025, first through the Zaenderist Main Security Office. That work ended up in Inquisition hands, and on 28 July 2026 the Judicial Ministry's fifty six background checks were imported into the Inquisition archive in full.
The Inquisition opened its own Discord server on 15 October 2025 and opened interest forms on 31 October, warning applicants that passing meant leaving whatever division they were already in. It grew fast. In the rally count of 15 November it rallied fourteen and scored ten out of ten on the Orderstate's criteria, the best of any division that day. It also drew the worst trouble. On 23 November it warned the whole Orderstate not to accept friend requests from unknown accounts inside Zaenderism, citing doxxing threats, gore and death threats. On 27 December 2025 its own commanding officer and executive officer, Erichhardt and 5ivezoatz, were removed from their posts on evidence of high treason and put before a tribunal of the Graend Council the next day. In February 2026 the Inquisition prosecuted Gusta on charges of treason, intention to defect and evidence forgery, and blacklisted the Smith Enclave.
The Imperial Restoration of June 2026 made it the Inquisition Cohort of Octavium under the Legion and rebuilt the server on 5 June. Three centuries were fixed: Enforcement, Internal and Strategic. Each carries a codename prefix that agents wear in place of a name, AEGIS for Enforcement, VIDE for Internal and UMBRA for Strategic. An Oath of Silence was imposed on everyone below Tribune Leader on 16 June. The first purge followed on 18 June, when twenty three agents were listed for removal for not being in the server. On 19 June the Inquisitional pin was issued as the only decoration an agent may wear, so that no medal could lead anyone back to an agent's main account.
