The personal protection unit of Aleczaender, the Guard, safeguards the leaders with their lives as they protect him from all violent harm. The Guard is extremely respected due to it's unwavering devotion to Aleczaender as his own personal division. Without hesitation, the Guard is prepared to defend Aleczaender to the death if necessary in the interest of the Imperium
## History
The Guard was one of the three formations raised when the Legionary Orderstate launched on 9 July 2025, three days after Aleczaender was deposed on July 6. The launch notice in the main server told new arrivals to choose between the Order, the State Police and the Legionary Guard, and it linked a Roblox group called Legionary Guard of Octavium that had been opened the day before. That first group was set aside within weeks. The group the Cohort holds today was created on 3 August 2025.
The Legionary Guard did not begin from nothing. It was raised as the successor of the Imperial Guard, the body that had protected Aleczaender before July 6, and its recruitment notices said so directly, telling recruits the Guard continued the practices it had followed within the Imperial Guard, safeguarding the leaders and high value objectives as it had before. The old handbook survived the fall. It is titled the creed, doctrine, principles and ideological values of the Imperial Guard, it carries the earlier motto WE WILL DEFEND ALECZAENDER WHEREVER HE WILL GO, and it credits aquayys and Dogeinarmy121 as its authors, with Grant Santiago and Antonios Santiago as later editors. It was circulated to the centuries again on 6 June 2026 as the old Guardsman handbook.
Through the second half of 2025 the Guard recruited as the most selective division of the Orderstate. Entry ran through the Legionary Guard Academy and a tryout, and it still does. By 18 August 2025 the division was under Dominus Praetor Gl1tched_Father and advertised itself with the line that he who holds the chair holds the peace, and he who protects the chair protects the Empire. Guardsmen called the division Aleczaender's Own. The Guard opened its own Discord server on 16 October 2025 and began advertising it the following day. In November the Praetoria Century was the unit standing directly on Aleczaender, and new Praetoria uniforms were ordered to replace the whites it had worn until then. By May 2026 the division was recruiting officers for three centuries: Watch Guard, Honor Guard and the Praetorian Guard.
The Imperial Restoration of June 2026 rebuilt the division from the ground up. On 5 June the server was reset and rebuilt from the universal divisional template used across every division, and the Legionary Guard became the Guard Cohort of Octavium under the Legion. New ranks were posted on 8 June and a new welcome and rules on 9 June. The centuries were reorganised as Praetoria, Phalanx and Primus, the last also called the Foot Guard. Guard Command issued fresh uniform regulations on 16 June: no faces are to be worn, medals are restricted to Equite Leader and above, and aviators belong to Praetoria alone. The division's colours are purple and white.
